I am a proud marketing research geek and working mom of three. I play in Excel and PowerPoint all day every day. It is amazingly nerdy and I love it! My job is also to be the person that helps clients figure out what they need to know to improve their businesses and then figure out how to do that. This part of the job is energizing, terrifying, and exciting, many times at the same time.
This blog has really become my forum for ranting, thinking and being creative. As a mom, I’ve constantly struggled to find the balance that makes sense between what my family needs, what my job needs, and what I need. The question of what “I” want has gotten lost and deprioritized, most often by me. That’s a problem that only I can fix, and I honestly have no idea how to do it half the time.
I have always dreamed of being a writer, but I’m not very good at it. I have also always been an avid reader. In the last few years, I have found so much comfort reading mommy blogger posts. It helps me know that I’m not alone. My hope, terrible writing aside, is that one or two things that I share will help someone else on a rough day. As I share my struggles juggling between playdates and presentations, maybe one of you will know that you aren’t alone.
